The Wartime Ukraine Research Programme is TNESC’s interdisciplinary framework for studying how prolonged war reshapes institutions, law, education, demographic behaviour, family life, public finance, health systems and the conditions for national recovery. The programme is grounded in Ukrainian realities while designed for comparative and international research cooperation. It deliberately connects institutional recovery with population recovery: rebuilding infrastructure is insufficient if the country simultaneously loses children, families, students, professionals, workers and future parents.

Research approach
Research combines legal and institutional analysis with demographic, social, educational and public-health perspectives. Work requiring medical, psychological, demographic or inclusion expertise depends on appropriately qualified external specialists and research partners.
